Five individuals meet by coincidence in a random diner at the same time, without knowing they all affected each other's lives the night before. The multiple story-line follows a gay father trying to re-connect with his estranged son, a woman in desperate need of a drug fix and her dealer who accidentally shoots the wife of a young man, and a woman trying to escape an abusive marriage.

Two up-n-coming rappers Ace and Cool breeze dream of becoming the next big thing in the rap world. After making a deal with Slick and Red, two promoters who promise wealth and success, they take out a loan from a local loan shark, Daddy T. To secure the loan Daddy T requires them to sign over body part as collateral. Their worlds crash when they discover that the two crooked rap promoters have ripped them off. After Discovering that Slick and Red have run off to the Bahamas with their money and original recordings, they must travel to the Bahamas to hustle their money and recordings back in time to pay off Daddy T, who is in hot pursuit to collect his collateral, their body parts.

Audrey is a typical music student at a large Midwestern college, interested in pursuing a career in classical music. Her apparent "normalcy," however, makes her something of a misfit in her family, made up as it is by a group of outrageous performers. Audrey's parents were funk/ R& B stars in the 1970s, while her brother currently reigns supreme on the hip hop and fashion scene, and her precocious little sister is a streetsmart MC in the manner of Lil' Kim. Audrey finds this family tree a little embarrassing, and is somewhat disdainful of the ego and trappings of pop culture entertainment, so she hides her clan from her new boyfriend. This unfortunately becomes a bit difficult to maintain when the family shows up for a visit. The campus will never be the same again!

Set in Chicago, the show follows the kid-friendly misadventures of two high-school friends who are always scheming and dreaming. Kenan, who works at a grocery store, constantly devises crazy plans to strike it rich, while orange-soda-loving buddy Kel is always dragged along for the ride despite his track record for messing things up.

She was taken in by Kali, a local Shamaness of a tribe who brought her up, and five years ago she was taught how to morph into animals and birds, acquiring their abilities, even flight. Further, she became a mythical creature called "The Darachna" who relies on people' fear of the unknown. For this she covers herself in a dark liquid mud which allows her to be largely unseen in the low light of the jungle, and with more than normal strength, agility and speed, and armed with a pair of gloves with bone claws, she is a formidable one woman fighting force. She does kill sometimes.
