Dedicated police detective Ma Zhe is tasked with solving a series of brutal murders in a rural Chinese town. As pressure mounts from his superiors, a hasty arrest is made, but while his colleagues celebrate, several clues push Ma Zhe deeper into a desperate investigation of his own.

After serving a 15-year prison term, Hesan (played by Wang Jingchun) is released from prison. His parents are deceased, and his wife has remarried with their son (played by Wang Heshi). Hesan has repented and wants to live a good life in the next half of his life. He has tried several jobs, but none of them have gone well. He hears that his son is in Hainan but has changed his name. Hesan immediately decides to go there to find his son who he hasn't seen for many years.

In this hybrid docu-fiction, a group of young male rappers is invited to a tropical beach resort to participate in a film project under the guidance of an absent auteur. Without a script or assigned roles, they spend their days sunbathing and their nights producing music, aiming to advance their careers. As time progresses, the lack of direction leads to confusion and frustration among the musicians. Gradually, each is engulfed by profound and unsettling dreams, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.

A Korean teen named Hua Dongxing decides to leave his remote village. To realize his desire, he goes in town looking for his father and asking for travel expenses. This search takes him on a wondering roam.

Wen Jie meets and befriends Yang Dan, an actress, at a theater workshop. She also meets her boyfriend, Li Yihuan. A strange emotional vibe develops between the trio, and, when Li Yihuan’s father goes bankrupt, the three new friends leave Beijing on a motorcycle and head to Wen Jie’s hometown.
