King Krishnadevaraya becomes a puppet in the hands of the courtesan Rangasani, who has been planted in the kingdom by enemies. It is up to Tenali Raman, a poet, to save the king and his kingdom.

Zamindar of a village has no children and adopts a boy from an Orphanage. The boy grows up as Anandarao (NTR) and returns to the village after higher education. Zamindar, while dying, hands over the estate affairs to Ramaiah (Doraiswamy), who gains good reputation and prestige. He has a son Satyam (ANR) and a daughter Sundaramma (Savitri). Anandrao feels jealous about Ramaiah. Chalapathi (Ramana Reddy) and Pitchaiah (Chadalavada) adds to his jealousy. He insults Ramaiah and stops the donation program running on the name of Zamindar. Satyam as unemployed joins as a Bus conductor and Ramaiah dies of helplessness. Anandrao purchases the Bus and dismisses Satyam from the job.

Once upon a time, when Pataliputra was ruled by Chandrasena. He has two wives, Gunavati & Rupavati. The King is engrossed in love with the second, and they contain 3 sons. Vakraketu, a vicious sibling of Rupavati, always ploys to usurp the throne, for which he molds his nephews as creampuff. The childless Gunavati penances conceive acquiring a boon from Siva, who blesses a baby boy, Vijaya.

Karthavarayuni Katha (transl. Story of Karthavaraya) is a 1958 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film, produced and directed by T. R. Ramanna under the R. R. Pictures banner. It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Savitri, with music composed by G. Ramanadhan and Ashwathama. The film was simultaneously made as the Tamil movie Kathavarayan (1958) by the same banner and director.

Poori (Daisy Irani) does not know who his parents are, and has been looking high and low to get back to them. Seated in a park bench beside Sundararajan (Gemini Ganesan), Poori asks his name and as soon as he replies, he proclaims that Sundararajan is his father. This creates complications in Sundararajan’s life and ruins his plans of marrying his lover Latha (Savithri). The president of a hospital for the mentally ill with a not-so-mentally-strong daughter creates more problems for the hero. After many interesting twists and turns, the truth emerges — Poori is the illegitimate child of a soldier (Mustafa) and the abandoned mother commits suicide, leaving the child behind. Sundararajan ro and Latha are so attracted to Poori that they decide to adopt him.
