University student who works in a bank experiences a personal crisis: he is torn between his ambitions and the temptation to engage in the armed movement against the military dictatorship of the time, in Brazil. At the same time, his love life is also confusing: he is unable to choose between two girls: an apolitical rich one, whose main interest is her own sexual liberation; and a working girl with family problems.

Upon arriving at the building where he works, Pedro finds the janitor, Hilário Garcia, dead inside one of the elevators. Inspector Canovas, in charge of the case, discovered that Hilário was Portuguese, widowed, with an only child living in the United States. Several suspicious people are detained and interrogated and, during the investigation, a guard and a girl are killed. With the help of the North American police, Inspector Canovas discovers that Hilário's son, Antônio and his wife Vanda, had already returned to Brazil. The two are located in São Paulo and detained for investigation. At the police, Antônio confesses to Carlos, his brother-in-law, that he was responsible for his father's death. Based on these statements, Canovas concludes that the caretaker was murdered because he discovered that his son and brother-in-law made a living from various suspicious businesses and were acting outside the law.

After becoming a widower, businessman Aparício Varela takes over as president of Tecelagem Abdala and decides to win back the great love of his life, Rebeca.

Brasileiros e Brasileiras is a Brazilian telenovela shown in some schedules SBT between November 5, 1990 and May 14, 1991. Writing for the show was done by Carlos Alberto Sofredini and Walter Avancini, who also directed it. The show was a co-production of the Miksom.

The plot unfolds across two distinct worlds: Dr. Cristiano Navarro’s hospital and an impoverished neighborhood on the outskirts of São Paulo. Linda consults Dr. Paula, a renowned gynecologist, but the doctor cannot resolve their issue. Linda then decides to seek help from Emanuel, sparking a series of conflicts with her husband. However, things are far from ideal in Emanuel’s neighborhood. He possesses paranormal abilities that sometimes manifest in ways beyond his control. An enigmatic and unpredictable man, Emanuel fears his own powers.
