The objects found inside the house seemed of little historical importance - two diaries. But taken together, they form a fantastical little story… and so a filmmaker finds herself caught between fiction and memory, believing in impossibilities.

A summing up of the spontaneous Super 8 filmmaking I have done over the past decade exploring nature, home, and friends using improvised distorting lenses, macro photography, and pixillation. I love music of all kinds, therefore it's rare for one of my films to not have musical accompaniment. However, the majority of the time, the film comes first and after it's edited I search for a piece of music that fits the films length, rhythms, and tone. It is the opposite with this film, as it was for Tomorrow Never Knows. Boy With a Fish is a wonderful indie-rock band from Ithaca, NY, that deserves wider attention. When I first heard the surreal lyrics to this song I immediately wanted to attempt to express them cinematically. This is the result.
