The objects found inside the house seemed of little historical importance - two diaries. But taken together, they form a fantastical little story… and so a filmmaker finds herself caught between fiction and memory, believing in impossibilities.

A summing up of the spontaneous Super 8 filmmaking I have done over the past decade exploring nature, home, and friends using improvised distorting lenses, macro photography, and pixillation. I imagine that it would fit the film scholar P. Adams Sitney's definition of a " Quotidian Lyric". Music by 2 of my favorite percussion ensembles : Ensemble et. al. and TIGUE.

A choreographed motion study for twinkling trinkets, beaming baubles, and glaring glimmers. A bow ballet ablaze (for bedazzled buoyant bijoux brought up to boil).

# 2 in a series of personal short super 8 films called " The Quotidian Lyrics ".

I love music of all kinds, therefore it's rare for one of my films to not have musical accompaniment. However, the majority of the time, the film comes first and after it's edited I search for a piece of music that fits the films length, rhythms, and tone. It is the opposite with this film, as it was for Tomorrow Never Knows. Boy With a Fish is a wonderful indie-rock band from Ithaca, NY, that deserves wider attention. When I first heard the surreal lyrics to this song I immediately wanted to attempt to express them cinematically. This is the result.

The image of the sleeping Buddha historically represents the Buddha dying or entering Nirvana. Or he may be dreaming of lives past and of death and what lies beyond. Music by Henry Kaiser and Kaki King. Special thanks to Jodie Mack and Marlis Dunn.

Created for and screened at the 2nd Annual FilmOne Fest in Atlantic Highlands NJ. It's not as easy as it might sound to make a one minute film.

Sometime in the mid-70's, my good friend Bill McGowan had an idea for a film. He needed someone to film it, so I and my trusty super 8 camera took on the job. Shot on the streets of Boston early one morning. Music by 10cc. Check out those pants!
