As Pupilas do Senhor Reitor is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from December 6, 1994, to July 8, 1995. Based on the 1867 novel of the same name by Portuguese writer Júlio Dinis, it was adapted by Lauro César Muniz, with scripts by Bosco Brasil, Ismael Fernandes, Analy A. Pinto, Aziz Bajur, and Zeno Wilde under the supervision of Chico de Assis. The telenovela stars Juca de Oliveira, Débora Bloch, Luciana Braga, Eduardo Moscovis, and Tuca Andrada. Pequena Travessa is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from November 4, 2002, to April 15, 2003. It is an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Mi pequeña traviesa, based on the original Argentine story Me llaman Gorrión by Abel Santa Cruz. Adapted by Rogério Garcia, with collaboration from Ecila Pedroso and Simoni Boer, the telenovela stars Bianca Rinaldi and Rodrigo Veronese. The story follows Júlia, a determined young woman who is forced to put aside her dream of attending college after her father is left paralyzed in an accident. Disguising herself as a boy to find work and support her family, she secretly sleeps inside a department store because she cannot afford a place to live.
