Five members of the Missing Persons Task Force investigate the mysterious disappearance of 17-year-old Evi. While unraveling the girl's troubled relationship with her parents, which leaves her father as one of the prime suspects, they discover that her life had recently taken a bizarre turn, with the teenager seen at several sex parties, receiving expensive gifts from a shadowy new friend. Was Evi the victim of a pimp, or did her father discover his daughter's double life and lose control?

Witse is a Dutch language crime drama produced by Belgian broadcaster VRT and broadcast on their één channel. It is also shown on BVN. First broadcast in 2004, as of 2010 the programme comprises eight series with a ninth and final series planned for 2012. It stars Hubert Damen as the eponymous Witse, a driven inspector in the Belgian federal police based in Halle. It is one of the most popular Flemish television programmes with some 1.6 million viewers. There are also Witse books. The first three were based on the last two episodes of each season, but since 2010 every six months a brand new story is published, written and invented by established Belgian writers, as Bob Van Laerhoven and Bart Van Lierde. The music for Witse is composed by Steve Willaert.

Following the passing of engineer Mark Nuyens, his housewife partner, Karen Van Dijck, and their adolescent son, Maarten, make a shocking discovery: Mark had been leading a double life and was legally married to another, Nina Overstijns, in a different province. Belgium, the early 1980s. Jan Laureys wants to see the world and enjoy life, but reluctantly becomes a gendarme. His father, himself an officer in the gendarme, wants it that way. When Jan hears about the CDI, a new unit that will tackle drug criminals using American methods, he immediately applies. The CDI doesn't wear uniforms, so he can continue to parade around the barracks courtyard in his fashionable outfits. And so Jan meets Bob, an American DEA agent who comes to train the Belgian elite police force in American police techniques. After a major screw-up, the CDI loses a lot of money from the gendarme. To save face, they decide, on Bob's advice, to earn the money back by selling drugs themselves. As always, everything goes well... until it goes wrong. Especially for Jan.

When a nuclear plant is sabotaged, the power grid in Belgium crashes. Prime Minister Annemie Hillebrand is forced to prolong the blackout, otherwise her daughter -who has been kidnapped- will die. Can Michael Dendoncker of the counter terrorism unit, rescue the girl in a country that's off the grid.
