In 1990 Chicago, a taxi driver recounts to his passenger, a sportswriter, his life story. He reveals himself to be Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton, one of the first African Americans to play in the NBA.

When a self-centered petty thief gets wind that a lavish home will be vacant for the weekend, he decides to take advantage. After breaking in and filling his bag with loot, he realizes the house he's robbing is already being robbed.

When given keys to a mansion for the weekend, two friends decide to make a film but end up throwing a huge party and trashing the house. Now they race to get the "money shot" and finish their film to pay for all the damages done.
