The film story is dedicated to the heroic oil workers of Oil Rocks, built in the Caspian Sea, as well as to their labor and everyday life. The sea estacade, constructed on steel pillars, stretches for hundreds of kilometers into the sea, where oil rigs and an entire oil workers’ town have been built by the hands of brave people. The film tells about those who have spent half their lives on this island, the young people who come here to work, and their mutual relationships, revealing and portraying their characters.

The heroes of the film are first-graders Snezhana and Alyosha Seroglazov, who received the nickname "TwoBriefcases" because of his small stature on the first day of attending school, as well as a small puppy Kysh.

Zhenya Golubeva is a Muscovite who graduated from a construction institute and left for a big construction site in Siberia together with other graduates of IISI. Her and her friends‘ fates will turn out differently.
