The action takes place in the late 1940s. A large-scale land-surveying research is underway in a remote area of Eastern Siberia. The work had almost been concluded when a wire arrives with the news of people disappearing in the locality of Yambuy. The expedition’s chief and radioman decide to go in search of the lost ones. The local Evenk hunters come to their aid. Many dangerous adventures lie in store for these daring people before they find the culprit – a man-eating bear.

The beginning of the 30s of the last century. A leak of classified information was found at the Soviet shipbuilding plant. Arriving under the guise of a scientist, the legendary chekist Karotin begins to unravel the threads of the conspiracy of the fascist spy organization. He is helped by inexperienced but active local detectives. Mastering the basics of the counterintelligence, they fall into a situation the other one funnier.

Blockade Leningrad, December 31. In the country house of the Resurrection, living "in a special situation," six people and a chicken gather, who no one can cook. Previously, the cook was engaged in this, but the Voskresenskys were taken away from her on the eve - hard times came on the outside, and the situation is also difficult inside: the youngest son brought a hungry girl, the eldest daughter of an unknown man for whom she is going to marry. Before the New Year there are few minutes left, and the number of problems grows snowball.

A talented neurosurgeon, who lost his family in a plane crash, receives a worrying diagnosis. The time of the life-saving procedure coincides with an emergency operation, and the hero has a choice to make: rescue a patient or save his own life...

The movie tells about the young woman in modern Moscow which is compelled to survive in the conditions of the rigid competition not only at work, but also in private life. The heroine doesn't manage to hear the desires in continuous vanity and diligence to keep in the megalopolis. Hurrying on protection of the project on which its future career depends, it nearly doesn't force down the small child who oddly has appeared on the carriageway. In attempt to find his parents, the heroine encounters a number of mystical coincidence, which lead to irreparable consequences. She gets up before a choice to live further or to lose everything and to remain the human.

A simple man Ivan Rostok, having reached the limit in his fall, repents and is spiritually reborn. He gains faith after the appearance of St. George to him and sets himself the task of restoring the village church destroyed in Soviet times.
