A small fire is crying into the night. Its friends, animals and other funny creatures are trying to cheer it up by throwing a party with dances, toys, fireworks and cakes!

At once fanciful and disquieting, “Tiny Big” presents a series of seemingly unrelated vignettes expressed through simple black-and-white line drawings, punctuated with occasional surprising bursts of color. Underscored by a soundtrack featuring the sounds of nature – wind, waves, crickets – the film eschews narrative, challenging viewers to draw their own conclusions about the significance of ritualized actions in a world that’s both hauntingly familiar and decidedly strange.

It takes time to grow up. And sometimes you even wonder if it’s really worth it… Then the children move slowly, at their own pace, the time to tame the world that awaits them. On the way, they ask questions and invent answers using their overflowing imagination.

During the Himalayan winter, a bear cannot fall asleep. He thinks too much and is in the doldrums. When a white monkey suggests him going to eat some honey at his aunt to change his ideas, a beautiful winter night opens upon them.
