In the 16th century, during the Kazakh Khanate, Kasym Khan was the fourth ruler, often viewed as the greatest leader to unite the Kazakh tribes.

A universal story about the freedom of the human spirit and the struggle against slavery and despotism, about love, loss and betrayal. It is seen through the eyes of simple Kazakh kids and teenagers.

Set in the first part of the 20th century during the Russian revolution's spill over into the vast majestic lands of Mongolia. This epic story is about family, love, devotion and kinship with one's homeland, told through the experiences of a boy and horse whose extraordinary bond to each other and the land gives them the courage to never give up the quest to find the other after being cruelly separated.

The second part of the epic "The Way of the Leader" tells about Nursultan Nazarbayev's student years, about the most important stages of his personality formation set on historical events, when the future of Kazakhstan's industry was being built in the steppes.

Aidai the baksy, or witch doctor, lives in the mountains and helps people. She uses mysterious actions to cure the sick and to give infertile couples children. As capitalist forces begin to encroach on tradition, the first casualty is any culture's most fundamental inheritance - land. The healer has to leave her land because the mob thinks the location is suitable for a filling station. A harsh battle between supernatural good and earthly evil ensues.

The story of a boy whose childhood fell on the difficult war and post-war years. The film will tell about the formation of personality, character, attitude of the child, about the first disappointments, about the birth and realization of his dreams.

The film tells about Nursultan Nazarbayev who went into politics and made efforts to improve the existing at that time difficult situation in Kazakhstan’s metallurgy.

The third part of the epic "The Way of the Leader" tell about the student years of Nursultan Nazarbayev, about the most important stages of his personality formation against the background of key events in the history of the country, when the future of Kazakhstan's industry was being built in the steppes.

Three brothers from small rural village try to find their way in life during unstable and dangerous times. Chingiz went to university and moved to Almaty to become a businessman. Kuanysh spends all his time practicing wrestling, aspiring to become famous. Youngest brother Bakhyt still studies in school and can't imaging leaving village. He wants to stay to take care of their parents and doesn't approve his brothers spending most of the time elsewhere. Kuanysh gets in trouble with his fighting skills, will his brother help him or is he left on his own now?
