A man from Ostfriesland travels to Hamburg and sets course for America on a steamship to conquer this New World as well. What he leaves behind is a swath of devastation, a breach of confusion, a Milky Way full of music, a dead end full of mad jokes and perhaps a touch too much wordplay at the expense of others. But what is worst of all: he has also made a film about it!

Jargo is a German teen brought up in Saudi Arabia. Moving to Berlin, Jargo maintains his Arabian clothing until he encounters a similar aged German Turk Kamil and here begins his introduction into the world of juvenile cool (read delinquency). He then has to decide which girls he likes while being pressured by his father to get laid.

Marvin (18) comes from a well-off background and lives in a chic suburban villa. His mother, a successful real estate agent, has already planned his future. But Marvin has a completely different idea of life: his great passion is music - this is where he wants to prove himself and show what he can do, without any money from his mother. After meeting the legendary rapper D W Court, he decides to take his life into his own hands for good. When he meets the clique around the cool Osman and the pretty Stella, his dream seems to come true. For the first time, he feels truly respected and taken seriously. He also falls head over heels in love with Stella. But all this comes at a price: in order to be accepted, he conceals his true origins. When Osman discovers the secret, the deception threatens to be exposed. Now Marvin has to put all his eggs in one basket...

Die ProSieben Märchenstunde is a television movie series that has been produced since 2006. It features characters that are exclusively portrayed by German and Austrian comedians and actors. The series is shot in Prague. The screenplays have - amongst others - been written by Tommy Krappweis, Erik Haffner and Norman Cöster who came up with the stories of Bernd das Brot. Additionally, they are directing and have cameo appearances. Many actors use their respective dialect. Die ProSieben Märchenstunde was nominated for the German Comedy Award in the category Best Comedy in 2006. It is also broadcast on Austrian television channel ORF, which is co-producing the series, airing the programme as Die ORF Märchenstunde.
