Felício, an old comedian, is in decadence after his partner Mandarim's suicide. When he finds out his former love Paloma has died, he leaves São Paulo and heads for the faraway State of Piauí, North of Brazil, in search of a new partner. He believes that if he manages to find him, the good times will return.

Juatama, a peaceful city in rural Ceará (Brazil) is about to receive the prestigious title of the Historic Landmark of Humanity. The anxious city prepares itself for the arrival of the Quarto Besouro, who will come to give the final verdict in regards to whether the city has the necessary conditions to receive the coveted title.

Aimée is a millionaire influencer who has all her family's assets blocked, except for a farm in the countryside of Ceará that she inherited from her grandfather. She leaves for the hinterland in an attempt to sell the property, but ashamed of the new reality, she invents that she will take a "sabbatical period" for a year. Thus, she will have to deal with her new life and sustain the lie on social media.

Leader of the student union, Saulo is the target of racist curses inside the classroom. When he retaliates, he is called to the principal's office, but refuses to suffer the consequences of the attack alone, since the aggressor is not responsible for his speech. Inspired by readings about the Black Panthers, the boy decides to stay in school until justice is done. Meanwhile, he exposes the neglect of the establishment's structure with his cell phone. Gradually, colleagues, teachers, directors and even politicians get involved in the conflict that is highlighted in the media.

A secret agent from the Ceará Intelligence Agency is Brazil's last hope for recovering stolen data from a top-secret project that threatens to destroy the country's beaches.

The series is set in the 1970s. In the story, the mayor clashes with the idealist Francisgleydisson, owner of Cine Holliúdy—the only cultural attraction in Pitombas, a fictional town in Ceará.
