Filmed over one year, this documentary follows the changing fortunes of beautiful Lake Prespa - one of the oldest freshwater lakes on Earth, providing a habitat for over 2,000 species of plants and animals, many of them unique to this ancient ecosystem. An elderly fisherman rows out across the lake to check on his fishing nets. It's the same trip he's made every morning for most of his life. But other things have changed. The famous pelicans and cormorants are not staying here in the same numbers anymore. And the fisherman's nets now only catch algae. The future for the lake and all the lives that depend on it are highly uncertain.

After her father Asllan has lived in exile for sixty years, Dea returns with him to Makermal. This Kosovar village that was once his home was destroyed in the war, leaving only the stories of the survivors. Together with the remaining villagers, Swiss-Kosovar director Dea Gjinovci and her father embark on a search for traces of the past and are confronted with the collective scars of a community.

Angel, shy and introvert boy, goes to pick apples for sale with his friend Mishko. But as the day goes by, Angel faces more and more the cruelty of Mishko and his own parents.

I dream about the beast that lives at the bottom of the lake. Only few people have seen it. The air freezes when it’s is near you because it’s heart is too cold. They say you should not look it in the eyes, because your heart will freeze as well. Only one woman has looked the beast in the eyes, but her heart is sad and frozen long time ago.

A documentary film about the sound installation made by the Macedonian artist Aleksandar Spasoski in 2013 in Munich, at the Isar river under the bridge of Raichenbachbrücke. Reproducing the sound of a real ship horn at a place with no water traffic, the artist wanted to stimulate the audience’s imagination as if a real ship was passing by, as well as to see how the sound would affect other people who are out of the location focus.
