A young man, his wife, and their child move to Istanbul to start a new life. Since they don't have a home, the family starts staying with the man's uncle's son. However, the economic difficulties they face lead to the family being kicked out. The family embarks on a tough struggle to survive in this city where they are now on their own.

The film tells the story of Alişan, who is trying to escape from his bloodthirsty pursuers. Alişan is released from prison, where he was serving time for murder. Unable to return to his hometown of Urfa due to blood feuds, he goes to stay with his friend Müslüm. The two start working on a construction site they find in Marmaris. The blood feud pursuers track Alişan to Marmaris. Alişan escapes their attack with the help of Aslı, a deaf and mute woman living in a nearby villa. Over time, Aslı and Alişan fall in love. Unable to bear the burden of living on the run, Alişan will make a new decision.

An urban Turkish teacher is transferred for political reasons to a backward Kurdish village in the mountains near the Iranian border. He is welcomed with distrust, but during that harsh year the mutual cultural misunderstandings fade away.

"Eylül" is a 16 year old girl sexual harassment by her stepfather , and her mother did not believe her and she went with "Eylül" to the orphanage , and left her daughter there. Then Eylül become friends with the girls in the orphanage and every girl have a own story. The girls trying to divorce Eylül's mother and her husband many times. "Feride" is an assistent in the orphanage who is always helping the girls when they need her.

Sidika is the story of Saka family and their young daughter Sidika who live in a poor neighborhood of Istanbul. Sidika was not allowed to go to high school, raised to wait her husband-to-be at her fathers home, not even allowed to leave their house on her own. But she educated herself through books, newspapers and TV. She approaches her life, half-witted older brother, oppressive and alcoholic father and traditionalist mother in a satirical and fun manner along with the current political and sociological events of Turkey and the world. She gazes the world through her window as she hungers for all the intellectual accumulation of the universe.
