Shot on 16mm in one of the most remote regions of Tara Mountain, 1,050 meters above sea level, Balanar was a two-year odyssey marked by multiple production halts. Driven by an insanely devoted crew—composed of some of the finest film professionals working in Serbia today—the film also features a haunting score by legendary German composer Hermann Kopp (Nekromantik). Inspired by Żuławski, Carpenter, and Milius, Balanar is a love letter to American midnight cinema and Balkan mythology. It blends heavy metal, pop culture, and folk tradition—but at its core, it is an existential horror.

Die Before Death

Zlatan B. is 38, and appears to be hard as a rock and drop-dead gorgeous. He is a respectable gynecologist with no moral dilemmas concerning abortion, if that's what his patients wish and decide to do. He also has no dilemmas in his personal life, because he knows that his wife Vesna and he are in love with the same person - him.

Shanghai Gypsy

The main protagonists of the film are members of the gypsy family Mirga. Lutvija Belmondo Mirga narrates a story about four generations. Belmondo is the central character of the film, a gypsy king, who decided to establish his own gypsy village. He names it Shanghai. Belmondo makes a living smuggling and his power and influence grow big. He even gets the local police and politics on his side and that helps him to become untouchable for law. But with the downfall of Yugoslavia, smuggling of goods is replaced by smuggling of the arms. Though lucrative the business starts to threaten Belmondo’s personal life and he finds himself at the crossroads. Will he protect his own family or is he going to sacrifice his personal happiness for business ambitions?

My Brother Aleksa

The story of poet Aleksa Santic, visionary and romanticist, great loser in private life. The poet was born in strict patriarchal, rich trading family from Mostar, in conservative social environment, in controversial times in the end of XIX and beginning of XX century. As a young man, he falls in love with the Slavonian girl, Anka Tomlinovic, daughter of poor photographer, leaving her under pressure of his family. Later, he meets Zorka Solina, young and rich girl from Mostar who, again because of the interests of her family, leaves the poet. In his mature years, Aleksa Santic engages himself passionately in social and political life of his age. Disappointments, poverty, sickness and loneliness follow. And the certainty of early death. His older brother tells the story of poet's life, while he is dying.

Sleepover at Hilmija's

In the period of WW2, in the town of Sarajevo, an owner of a tavern Hilmija must deal with a Nazi and run his business. The problem is that he is a coworker with Serbians, Croatians and Jews. That puts his business as well as his safety in danger.
