Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Day

Spanning decades, the film follows lovers Lovro and Nenad and their friends Stevan and Ivan, a group of gay partisans who fought against the Ustashas and Nazis. Sixteen years later, they became renowned filmmakers navigating life in post-WWII Communist Yugoslavia. As they rise to fame, they are forced to create propaganda for the regime, risking everything to protect their identities and each other. In 1957 their sexual orientation raises suspicion, and a communist party loyalist named Emir is assigned to sabotage their careers and lives, a party loyalist hiding his own secrets, whose loyalties begin to falter. The pursuit of freedom becomes a fight for survival for the artists, while Emir's beliefs are challenged. Lush, intimate, and politically charged (and with startling parallels to our current political climate), Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Day is a poignant story of resistance — against oppression, against silence, and for the freedom to live and love without fear.

Sixth Bus

A young American is trying to find a man from her past, but he is never to be found, during the largest conflict on European soil since World War II – the battle of Vukovar. It is a search of identity and truth at a place where truth is selective, elusive, and even feared. A quest for faith, connection, and redemption simmers beneath the search.

Winnetous Weiber

It should be a relaxed holiday with her daughter Nora - at least that's how the single mother Maren Bogner imagined it: a journey in the footsteps of Winnetou, a ride to the breathtaking locations of the legendary Karl May films, a holiday of discovery in Croatia. Although Nora doesn't share her mother's enthusiasm, a little variety never hurts. They are accompanied by Nora's best friend, the successful but stressed businesswoman Gabriele Hochmann with a GDR past. Arriving at the starting point of their guided "Winne Tour", the three women make the acquaintance of Elisabeth zu Hallbach-Süren, who, together with her young assistant Simone Lehmann, has also set out for the scenes of German cinema nostalgia.

Good Times, Bad Times

Sitting in a restaurant representing the waiting room to the other world, a tired old man watches the patrons who represent him and his immediate family during the important moments of his life. Moments that have impacted him and the family, and have turned him into a man he was at the end of his life. The old man is forced to look these events in an objective way, observe them from the sidelines, as the judge and jury of a tragic life filled with regret, bitterness, and bad decisions. At a certain point, it becomes clear that the old man has actually died and is watching his own life.

Sonja and the Bull

Sonja, a city girl from Zagreb, a vegetarian and a hardcore animal-rights activist, strongly opposes bullfighting in Dalmatinska zagora (Dalmatian Hinterland). People find this irritating and they conclude that no matter how passionately Sonja loves animals, she would never dare to stand in front of a bull. Bets are raised and Sonja faces a challenge in the form of Ante, known far and wide for his powers of persuasion.

The Farewell

Nina, a young activist, is selling her family home, which is close to a factory in Vranjic. Her boyfriend, Srdjan, is going to work in Germany as a dentist and is leaving Nina and her strong, but blind mother, Carmen, for good. Nina is waiting for the results of a medical check-up.
