Wallace, a mouse, can do almost anything, as long as he has a list. Then he meets a new neighbor, Albert, who loves music and adventure, and Wallace discovers a wonderful world that he and his lists had not anticipated.

Ragnar works in an office. He turns 33 in May, and he has 45 in shoes. Ragnar has a vivid imagination. The more he thinks, the younger he wants to be. He thinks it would be good if he were ten years or maybe only seven. Then he would be out playing now. Usually Ragnar think when he sits in his office. He is actually the man who does not want to grow up, or become a grown-up.

Boo and Baa are in the garden raking leaves. They think it's strange that the wheelbarrow whines. Then they discover the cat that has climbed up the tree and cannot come down. Boo and Baa try different ways to help the cat.

Kalle, a small boy living in a big city, is content with lying in the top of a big tree and dreaming, for example about Emma. On the ground beneath it sits his big fat grandpa and he reads the newspaper over and over. Once in a while Kalle climbs down the tree and experiences all kinds of adventures.
