Tharwat Abaza

Based on Tharwat Abaza's short story, 'Shey min al Khawf' takes place in a rural Egyptian village. Atris' reign of terror on the villagers is put to the test when a public act of defiance is carried out by Fu'ada, the object of his affection.

A handsome young man called Nader lives a wealthy life with his widowed mother Nazik. When his father's friend Saleh takes over the management of their company, Nader finds out that his mother is in a relationship with Saleh, which drives him into the arms of the prostitute Mimi to take revenge.

Two brothers with a rich uncle, who love his two daughters, Faiza and Faouia, are deaf. The father loses all his wealth and the two brothers become poor, pushing Hamed with his sister to Rushdie while traveling abroad in order to obtain a doctorate. A relationship between (Rushdie) and (Suhair), a faithful (faithful) nurse, will arise that appears sinful at its beginning, but (Rushdie) can wake up to his senses and return to his senses.

No one can confront the Al-Dafrawi gang, which is wreaking havoc. An idiot young man with a drum wanders around the town, and a girl from the village sympathizes with him, but does not love him back. We discover that this idiot is none other than the leader of the gang.

The heroine of the film is a poor girl who dreamed of wealth and a high position in society. By chance, her dreams come true, but wealth does not bring her happiness. The girl refuses the money and returns to her former friends.

Abbas is a young Muslim man who studies engineering. Abbas loves his Christian neighbor Yvonne, but the difference in faith prevents them from marrying. On the other hand, his cousin Laila loves him and is in a constant state of dialogue with him.

Journalist Ayman loves Tahyia, he gets arrested for his bold political articles. The wife of a big official, convinces Tahyia to meet Saad, as he can release Ayman. Saad assaults Tahyia and after Ayman is released, he hires him in a prestigious position in the paper.
