They were, at best mocked or ridiculed, at worst incarcerated, tortured, or even beheaded. But they would not be deterred. For decades ten thousands of women in Germany, Great Britain, in France, the U.S. and many other countries fought for their right to vote. Some used the institutions, others turned into media savvy politicians, and still others turned to terrorism, went on hunger strike, or died as martyrs. 100 years later we tell a multi-perspective and emotional story of the international fight, against all odds, for women’s suffrage as an important step towards equal rights.

Tonio travels to India to convince his old friend Ralf to take up the fight against the unscrupulous entrepreneur Bechtheim, who is buying up large-scale properties on the North Sea on behalf of Chinese investors. Ralf, who lives in a monastery according to the rules of Buddhism, is reluctant to be persuaded to return to Germany from the mountains of the Himalayas after 15 years. Nevertheless, Tonio's plan succeeds - and Ralf has to face an unexpected challenge: a dramatic surfing duel.

Alice Cordes is to spend Christmas with her boyfriend Nicolas Huber's family in Upper Bavaria. A team of inspectors investigates murders in and around the small Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim, and they still have plenty of time to see idyllic landscapes and luxurious pre-alpine villas and enjoy sumptuous Bavarian fare with beer.
