Mexican Erotica is a collective reappropriation film that explores sex and eroticism from various artistic and aesthetic points of view. A journey of textures, sensations and unmissable pleasures.

The most transcendent and controversial event since the invention of the seventh art: the disappearance of photographic film. What for many people seems to be simply the result of technological evolution, brings with it paradoxes and contradictions that endanger photographic film heritage and accelerate its deterioration.

The scissor dance is a 16th-century magical-religious dance and ritual in which the dancers act as mediators between humans and deities. It originated in the Ayacucho, Apurimac, and Huancavelica regions and began to gain popularity in Lima in the 1980s, during the waves of migration from rural areas to the city.

In the Otomi worldview (an ethnic group from central Mexico), corn, or the wise seed, fell in the form of drops to fertilize the world. Their agricultural activity marks the ceremonial cycles. As an offering and expression of gratitude, tortillas are prepared and dyed with the natural dye of the muicle plant.

Peronoise is a being who tells us a story, who proposes the senses as currency instead of using Argencard or Mastercard, who presents and provides emancipation as a path, who establishes a Ministry of Hearing, who announces that we can dance, that it's a party!, whose enemy is Dr. Mutantis, the white male patriarch of holy causes from the Austro-Hungarian suburbs.

And it reminds us that, even in this digital age, they still have a lot to teach us about waiting and making mistakes, surprise and beauty.

In 1958, Le Corbusier designed the Corbusierhaus in Berlin. A housing unit surrounded with green areas with capacity for 2,000 people. This is a study of the color and movement in the building’s common areas. Almost dotting exercise, hyperkinetic but also hyperalert -doors, hallways, murals, numbers, locks, its exterior and emergency spaces. Everything that could have been ignored is instead revitalized at a pace that leaves the museum trail behind in order to focus on the day-by-day, in the ignored vigor of the simple everyday space. And here appears happy formalism, charmed by the corners (of the buildings and of Le Corbusier’s own work), that wants to share that same joy and that same demystification. JMD

On November 22, 2015, a second round of the presidential elections was held in Argentina. Society was deeply polarized, and the candidate chosen as Cristina Kirchner's successor was not anyone's favorite, but the right-wing candidate, Mauricio Macri, was only three points behind. The ruling party seemed defeated, and in response to this urgency, a spontaneous civic campaign was organized in the streets, a last-ditch effort to prevent neoliberal policies from taking hold in the country. This is a record of what happened that day in the streets of Buenos Aires.

The filmic support as plastic material is an investigation that in this performance proposes the formal study of perforation and that of the human face as representation, chromatic configuration and target of electronic detectors.

During the enhancement of the audiovisual heritage of the Embassy of Mexico in Argentina we found promotional tourist material in different media. I chose some 16mm film titles published 1968–72. At that time, the National Tourism Office commissioned and distributed these short films emphasizing modernity and comfort in contrast to the exotic and almost pristine nature of our tourist destinations. This new wave of mass tourism to underdeveloped countries, which would become one of the main sources of income for Mexico and the Caribbean, was what the Cuban historian Manuel Moreno Fraginals called “the fourth plantation,” alluding to economic practices of monoculture and neocolonialism. This is a compilation of the most interesting moments to review the speeches of that time.

In La hora decisiva, Azucena captures, in the midst Mexican Revolution celebrations that happened in November 2019, an improvised street photography set, with people wearing traditional garments being photographed in an elegant armchair with a rifle in their hands, imitating the photographic records of the time. Full of humor, joy and cotillón, Losana comments that, given all the multiple protests that were taking place on the continent at that time, she wondered what Zapata would have thought of our revolutions.
