Narciso is a Black orphan living with siblings Carmem and Joaquim. Just before his birthday, he is returned by a couple who decided not to adopt him. To cheer him up, Alexandre, another child living in the foster home, gives him a magical basketball. If Narciso makes three baskets, a genie will appear to grant him his greatest wish.

Three stories are intermingled by the same theme: possessions.

Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

Even married to Paula and in love with Helena, he is still harassed by ex-wife Sheyla, who is not satisfied with having lost him and dreams of a rapprochement.
