Looking for a suitable girlfriend, Alex dumps frustrated Isabel, which in return hits on Alex' best friend Schweiner, who tries to score the unapproachable Sammy. Sammy rather spends her time with permanently stoned Sven. It's a night of losing, finding and too much pot smoking.

A9ainst is a film about nine participants in a political protest action attempted on the public benches of the Icelandic parliament in December 2008. A year after the non-violent demonstration those nine were charged and prosecuted for an ‘attack against parliament’, with reference to a sort of anti-terrorist clause in the penal code. The film is an attempt to investigate their vision: which lines of thought were pursued by those activists willing to go a few steps further than the general public 40 days before massive demonstrations overthrew Iceland’s government.

While working on a television movie project about Franz Kafka, German actor Hanns Zischler discovered a series of passionate writings in Kafka's journals about his own moviegoing. Zischler, who also wrote a book of the same title, spent the next twenty-five years combing through archives and libraries to locate many of the now-extinct films cited by Kafka in his journals. The result is a witty conjecture on the Czech writer's fascination with film and Zischler's fascination with Kafka.
