At the age of nine, Rebeca is sold by her grandmother to the bookseller who ran Rocinha. Disputed by bicheiros and drug dealers, the community is going through changes in power. Rebeca becomes the wife of the chief drug dealer and, with the death of her partner, his successor. In the film’s own words, "the objective is to recreate in five chants the synergy that generates revolutions." In 2018, a wave of protests toppled the political oligarchy that perpetuated power for over a decade in Armenia, in what became known as the Velvet Revolution. Thoughtfully staged and split into separate acts, or "chants," each is a film unto itself—microcosm, self, home, society, and macrocosm. Experimental elements are used to suggest connections through images, while voiceovers and text overlays provide historical and social context to the images.

In the month of the Brazil World Cup, the documentary shows how the demonstrations against an increase in public transportation fares in São Paulo in June of 2013, evolved to national scale, reaching hundreds of cities. The movement took over one million people to the streets and it became an uprising against corruption, the lack of public services and the copious spendings on the World Cup. The film proposes a reflection on the changes conquered by protesters and asks the question: will tomorrow be bigger?
