Xiaozhuang Mishi, also known as Xiaozhuang Epic, is a 2003 Chinese television series produced by You Xiaogang. The series is the first instalment in a series of four television series about the early history of the Qing Dynasty. It was followed by Huang Taizi Mishi, Taizu Mishi and Secret History of Kangxi, all of which were also produced by You Xiaogang.

The Legend of Yang Guifei, also known as The Secret History of Concubine Yang, is a Chinese television series loosely based on the romance between Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang dynasty and his consort Yang Yuhuan. The series was directed by You Xiaogang and starred Yin Tao and Anthony Wong as the couple. It was first broadcast on Hunan Satellite TV from April to May 2010.

It was preceded by Xiaozhuang Mishi, and followed by Taizu Mishi and Secret History of Kangxi, all of which were also produced by You Xiaogang.

Love and ideals constituted the main theme of their lives, and the shadow of World War II and the war of aggression against China ruthlessly threw the young people back to the real world.
