Mayhem is the most notorious group in the annals of black metal. Their nearly 25 years of band history are characterized not only by uncompromising and brutal music, but also by suicide, murder, arson, and many other scandals. Revered by their fans, Mayhem are feared and loathed by the mainstream public. 'Pure Fucking Mayhem' is a 90+ minute DVD documentary featuring exclusive interviews with current and former members of Mayhem. This documentary attains a maximum of authenticity with its rich, often unreleased footage.

Features a live show filmed in Marseille, France, on September 24, 1999 and includes interviews with band members and exclusive backstage footage. Also released on DVD with extra features, as Collector's Edition 2x LP vinyl limited to 500 copies & CD limited to 500 copies. The back of the DVD case incorrectly says it was recorded in 1999. Recording information: Recorded live in Marseille, 24th of September 2000.

This live album was recorded at a performance at the Rainbow Club in Milan, Italy in November 1998. The line-up features original Mayhem vocalist Maniac, plus Hellhammer on drums, Necrobutcher on bass & Blasphemer on guitar. The show also features a guest appearance by now-current Mayhem vocalist Attila Csihar on the track ‘From the Dark Past’. With a crystal clear sound & the noticeably stunning drum work of Hellhammer, the band themselves considered this worthy of being labelled an official release, as Mayhem storm through a strong set full of classics from old releases ‘Deathcrush’ & ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’, to the post-Euronymous compositions as featured on ‘Wolf’s Lair Abyss’. Expect nothing but dark & chaotic black metal carnage.
