In four stories inspired by humorous tales by Ariano Suassuna, each created based on phrases by the poet from Paraíba, we meet Helder, Fabiano, Pierce and Lorena, living different situations where, ironically, the lie is always the protagonist.

In Rio de Janeiro there live four great and inseparable friends: Beatriz, Tânia, Ivone and Marilu. They wear a plus size mannequin and face all the adventures and love and professional mismatches that four young women can face in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, (almost) always in a good mood.

Batista and Maria form a couple who, apparently, are very happy in their marriage. However, the truth is that appearances deceive and much; in the background, Batista, an inveterate alcoholic and Maria, who has an affair with her eldest daughter's boyfriend, Emilia, represents a family on the edge of the ruins.

Ângelo arrives at his grandmother's house in Minas Gerais. There, a small chest full of coins and an enigma were discovered, supposedly left by a priest who, 200 years earlier, would have hidden a handful of diamonds.

The quiet life of the small town Piedade's inhabitants is shaken up by the arrival of a big oil company, which barges in taking over houses and local businesses, throwing everyone out, to better reach and use the area's natural resources.
