Recorded on June 22, 1991, at Finsbury Park, London, this concert was part of the Labour of Love II tour and attracted an audience of approximately 30,000 spectators ([turn0search5], [turn0search10]). The band’s lineup featured Ali Campbell (vocals, guitar), Robin Campbell (guitar, backing vocals), Earl Falconer (bass), Jimmy Brown (drums), Norman Hassan (percussion), Brian Travers (saxophone), Astro (vocals, toasting), Mickey Virtue (keyboards), Henry Tenyue (trombone), and Patrick Tenyue (trumpet).

UB40 are one of the most successful British acts of all time, with a huge string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic and around the globe. Featuring most of their greatest hits, including both songs to hit #1 in America: "Red, Red Wine" and "Can't Help Falling In Love". To date, 2002 is the band's only appearance at the Montreux Festival but clearly inspired them to produce one of their finest performances. This performance is being simultaneously released on CD.

Don't miss UB40’s first-ever livestream performance to air on YouTube this Wednesday, September 21. The special show will be aired LIVE, one-time and filmed in front of a live audience from Napa Valley’s intimate art deco Uptown Theater. Premiere livestream studio Bulldog DM will produce the two-hour broadcast for viewing via the band’s YouTube page at 8:00 P.M. PT / 11:00 P.M. ET. The reggae legends with new lead vocalist Matt Doyle. With just a few days left on the tour, UB40 realized the right time had arrived to livestream the intimate Uptown Theater performance.

Over the course of more than two decades, Birmingham's UB40 have become global ambassadors for reggae, a journey captured perfectly on The Collection. This programme is split into two main sections: a 26-track video collection and a documentary detailing their 20th anniversary concert in September 2001. Forgoing chronology in favour of a more random approach, the video selection is slightly disjointed on a visual level, leaping from decade to decade within the space of a couple of tracks. While they have never made a truly great video (most feature the band lip-synching in various places around the world) UB40 have certainly been prolific over the years. "One In Ten" and "Food for Thought", their earliest work, represented the sound of young, multicultural Britain just as well as the more lauded Specials. And while there have perhaps been a few too many covers in recent times, it is hard to deny the effectiveness of "Red, Red Wine" and "Kingston Town".
