Don Cándido is a modest old office clerk who makes his first pool coming off of a bad streak at work. He has thirteen hits and wins a considerable sum of money. This causes him to be blinded by ambition, changing his character, spreading his newfound hobby to his family, and gambling becoming the center of his life.

Juan is a veteran workshop instructor with no formal education, but a lifetime of practical experience working on aircraft engines alongside engineers. His company sends him from Madrid to train at the Universidad Laboral in Córdoba. There, the master craftsman takes a young student under his wing. Disheartened by how poorly his first exams went, he considers giving up. But Juan advises him not to and helps him in every way he can. The two become friends, but one day the young man discovers the real reason behind Juan’s interest.

Filmed during Ana Mariscal's tour of various locations in the north of the peninsula to present her first feature film, "Segundo López, aventurero urbano", shows a day in the life of the city of Santiago de Compostela, with special attention to a liturgy celebrated in its cathedral and following its very young and wild altar boy, although also showing part of the daily practice of a disenchanted Pharmacy student and configuring the physiognomy of a city marked by rain, the University and the power of the Catholic Church.
