In a small port town, at the turn of the century, children are disappearing. A mysterious man in black who stalks the town may be Death itself. And nine-year-old Laurin is suffering terrifying dreams and hallucinations of a man carrying a sack and frightened children calling for help from behind closed windows.

Small time Hungarian matchmakers get the job to make a Hollywood star fall in love with a Russian businessman's spoiled brat sister. They get one million dollars if they succeed, but if they fail, they will have to pay with their lives.

This is the Hungarian version of the French musical Roméo et Juliette: de la Haine à l'Amour based on William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, with music and lyrics by Gérard Presgurvic.
