Rob Kai (played by Shi Jian), the mastermind of Roche's shipping enterprise, and his brother Bo Hong, devoted their lives to the maritime industry. Rob Kai's eldest son-in-law keeps using Rogers' ships to smuggle drugs in order to get money, which puts the group in crisis. Meanwhile, Bo Hong, who had been struggling to find his wife and daughter, who had been lost for more than a decade, died of a heart attack.
