In 2006 CBGB, the most famous rock club in the world, closed its doors forever. Everybody associated it with bands such as Blondie, The Ramones and Talking Head, but no one remembers that what made it legendary were the hardcore matinées in the 80s. Walter Schreifels, the musician of the most influential hardcore punk bands, tells us a story not only about some kids and their music but of New York and its changes, too.

This documentary was made by Martin Strothoff on Helter Skelter Records in 1989. It features footage from several live gigs that Youth of Today played on their 1989 European tour along with a German interview that aired on regional television. "I organized and booked the Y.O.T. + Lethal Aggression DIY tour on my own and accompanied them as a driver. Three of my best sandbox friends accompanied me on the long 89 DIY tour as drivers and rowdies. It was a chaotic tour in many moments and a beautiful experience that I would not want to miss. If I had actually produced, supported or released the Halter Skelter - Bootleg "Live in Vienna" or this "European Tour Dokumentars - 1989", at least I had spelled my name correctly. During the tour I had neither means nor possibilities to record or film the concerts. (In 1989 there were no iPhones yet!) "Helter Skelter Records" is not known to me either."

Records Collecting Dust II focuses on the East Coast cities of Boston, New York and Washington DC, and includes in depth interviews with twenty eight highly influential people from the 1980’s hardcore punk rock music scene. Talking about the music, the bands and the records that forever changed their lives. Including Ian MacKaye of Minor Threat/Fugazi, John Joseph of Cro-Mags, Dave Smalley of DYS/Dag Nasty, Bob Cenci of Jerry's Kids, Amy Pickering of Dischord Records, Walter Schreifels of Gorilla Biscuits/Quicksand, Roger Miret of Agnostic Front and Clif Croce of The Freeze.

Before there was ever a 108, Inside Out or Quicksand, there was Beyond. And in 1988, Tom Capone and Kevin Egan took their seven song demo recorded in their hometown of Holbrook, NY and brought it to Some Records on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. From there, everything took off. WHAT AWAITS US, A Beyond Story is a documentary that, not only chronicles the history of the New York Hardcore band, Beyond, including their origin, their adventures and their demise after recording what is now considered an iconic record, but also depicts Egan's journey from New York to California as he tries to figure out where Beyond fits into his life today. The film includes interviews with members of the band, along with interviews with members of Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, Judge, Burn, Bold and more.
