Uncle Jonny is the best mate of a 7 year old who is daydreaming during class.

"The visual was originally captured through two Super 8 cameras, which were attached on the pedals of a bicycle, through my ride from Marin County to San Francisco. The time-lapse footage was optically printed onto 16mm film afterwards, and the double projection would show a new landscape of the photogenic city. The ride ended after joining Critical Mass, an event occurs the last Friday of every month in San Francisco." (Tomonari Nishikawa)

This is the first in a series of films ostensibly investigating the aesthetics of harnessing/control and the resultant opportunities for reflection. We endeavor to keep present our physical selves, as we slowly succumb to the screen’s dissociative veil.

‘An idea of white’, according to the rather cryptic description.

The film layers a toned and black and white reel creating subtle shifts of hue and tone of abstracted seascape.

To move among stones. A rendering of the transformation of place as suggested in the weathering of rock in its expanses and fissured depths. Erosion evidencing the slow mark of time and a sense of its passage.
