Mexican comedian Alfonso Zayas is just one of the many folks in town who are cheating on their spouses, imagining themselves quite clever and secretive, even while unbeknownst to them their spouses are cheating on them in turn! When one of the many women with whom Zayas has a child dies tragically, he attempts to integrate his daughter into one of his other families, calling her his goddaughter. But when his son falls in love with her, the many sexual escapades around town threaten to take a disturbing turn for the worse.

Stories of Disenchantment

In a world devoured by an invisible force known as disenchantment, the stories of three characters intertwine: Diego, who tries to make a movie about the dreams of Ximena, an adolescent experiencing her sexual awakening, who is secretly in love with him and who, in order to help him in his bizarre project, leads him to Ainda, a conceptual artist with bat wings, with whom the naïve filmmaker falls madly in love. Ainda is attracted by the purity of the young people and seduces them both, which leads to a magical moment in the lives of all three. But soon the young people discover that their beloved harpy’s heart belongs to a being from beyond the grave. Then the idyllic relationship of the three characters begins to crumble and they do everything in their power to prevent it, as the dark force of disenchantment closes over the city.

Diana secretly owns a nightclub and has a son named Arturo. When Arturo gets his college degree, he decides to celebrate and goes to the nightclub he does not know his mother owns. There, he meets and falls in love with a lady of the night. When he takes her home to meet his mother, both women are embarrassed. Diana offers the girl money to leave Arturo alone, and the young girl takes it and gives it to Arturo with a letter saying she’s leaving. Arturo is upset with his mother and drifts away from her. Diana, tired of the nightclub business and of the double life she has led, decides to retire and gives the nightclub to the women who have worked for her. She intends to patch things up with her son and to welcome the woman that Arturo has chosen to marry.
