In the middle of a night of drinking after their father's funeral, two estranged brothers decide to travel to a town on the outskirts of the city. As they descend further into oblivion, the ghosts of their past begin to materialize.

After his wife’s death, a man is interrogated by the State. Returning to a dystopic, totalitarian life, he weighs stifling his grief against leaving it all behind. A call leads an official to help him find his beloved.

Caracas, 1969. In the midst of the pacification of the guerrillas, Simón is contacted by a friend from his past to hide Cáceres, a sick guerrilla fighter, in his house. The two's time together will create a special and unexpected friendship.

The story tells, in black and white, how Felicia becomes oblivious to her own reality but not to her emotions and falls in love with Grego, her stalker. All of this takes place against the backdrop of her difficult relationship with her invalid and alcoholic mother, while on television the news of the events of April 2002 continues to be repeated incessantly.

Andrés and his son Pedro live in a working district of Caracas and hardly ever see each other. While Andrés fills his time doing different jobs, Pedro wanders the streets playing with friends and learning from the violent atmosphere around him.

The 29 of October of 1988, a group of 14 fishermen of the population of El Amparo, Venezuela, were assassinated by a commando and presented/displayed to the public opinion like members of a guerrilla detachment. The truth of the events was well-known after the testimony of two survivors, but the case was investigated by the military justice that guaranteed the thesis of the confrontation. Later, the Inter-American Court of Human rights vindicates the fishermen and sentences against the Venezuelan State a sentence that 20 years later has been fulfilled partially, being material, intellectual and concealing the authors free and, in some cases, high positions to be able. This is a history of injustice and abuse authority, but also of perseverance and fights to clean the names of those humble fishermen, in spite of the passed time.

On the border of Venezuela with Colombia, during the late 80's, two men survive an armed assault near the Arauca River, in which fourteen of their companions end up dead. The Army accuses them of being guerrilla fighters and tries via intimidation to seize them from the cell where they are being watched over by the local police officer and by the entire village. They say they are simple fishermen, but pressure to yield to the official version is overwhelming.
