This 1985 Spanish film reveals one of the many terrible aspects of 16th century Spain, still plagued by the radical Christian Inquisition, one of a plethora of difficulties Spaniards faced at the time. Spanish super star Carmen Maura plays a nun who agrees to a selfless scam, a fake stigmata, only to avoid separation from her lover, another nun. It's a serious and passionate work, highlighting the theme of outspoken women-against-repression, seen in other good gay and lesbian films. This is not a lesbian "Nun sense" or another "Dark Habits" (by Almodovar, which also starred Carmen Maura, and also set in a Spanish convent, with some lesbian nuns). Perhaps, best of all, 'Extramuros' is realistic and frank. It isn't shy about its characters' sexuality. Their sexuality, and the film as a whole are genuine.

Film consisting of three episodes. The first, "Doubt": Sofia, early summer, young and beautiful, always choose a dog that matches their outfits and a lover that matches them. It is up to Ricardo, a playboy who is not known for their intelligence. The second, "Ambition" Amparo and Vincent are married. She is ambitious and wants her husband to be important and famous. To discover a process that infallible: that her husband will be burnt in the street bonzo. The third, "Jealousy" Manolo and Eulogio are friends and colleagues. Sister San Sulpicio (Spanish:La hermana San Sulpicio) is a 1934 Spanish comedy film directed by Florián Rey and starring Imperio Argentina, Miguel Ligero and Salvador Soler Marí. It is a remake of Rey's 1927 silent film Sister San Sulpicio which had been based on Armando Palacio Valdés's novel of the same title.
