It was the last days of June 1942. The fascist troops were tearing towards Sevastopol, and fighting was already going on in the city itself. Ships of the Black Sea Fleet had already broken through to Sevastopol more than once, delivering replenishment, ammunition and weapons. And now, destroyers "Daring" and "Stremitelny" receive a new order to go to Sevastopol. This way is known to sailors well enough, but the fascists repeatedly mined the only fairway to Sevastopol, and enemy aircraft constantly attacking destroyers. At the cost of losing the "Daring" sailors manage to break through to Sevastopol. But the hardest tests fall to the sailors on the way back, when overloaded with wounded "Stremitelny" returns to his native port.

In order not to create panic among the population, they tried to hide the fact of the epidemic. Doctors tried to cope with the disease, but the number of deaths increased, and information inexorably leaked into society ...

This film ballad is dedicated to those who never returned home from WW2. A group of retreating Soviet soldiers, crossing a lunar terrain in a desperate attempt to escape death, is attacked by a German fighter plane that appears like a bolt from the blue. One by one they are killed. Then suddenly, in an unlikely denouement bordering on the mystical, the attacker is shot down with a simple rifle. For ideological reasons that defy understanding this film, one of Viktor Hres’ earliest works, was shelved in 1967 by Soviet censors. In 2010, it was restored by the Debut Studio of the Oleksander Dovzhenko Film Studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine.

Timosh, a young village boy, finds himself in the ministry of Father Mikhail, a priest who hides in a convent with him after a scandal with the Count. There Timosh encounters the mundane mores of the monastery, where the abbess and sisters are steeped in greed, duplicity and intrigue, despite their lofty sermons on morality. Seeing this contradiction, Timosh decides to return to ordinary life outside the convent.

Anton Cheremys returns to his hometown, where he has not been for several years. Meeting with the past brings back memories of friends, the woman he loves, and the tragic moments of one disturbing night when he and his team risked their lives to save people.
