It is an original story by Carlos Mercado Orduña. The series follows five women whose lives are reunited after years apart, forcing them to confront the dreams they left behind, personal struggles, family conflicts, and the secrets that have shaped their destinies.

El Secreto de Alejandra

El secreto de Alejandra is a Mexican telenovela created and produced by Jorge Lozano Soriano for Televisa and originally broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas from December 1, 1997, to January 2, 1998. Created by Jorge Lozano Soriano, with adaptation by Lila Yolanda Andrade and Carlos Lozano Dana, the telenovela stars María Sorté and Leonardo Daniel. Due to its controversial theme of organ trafficking, the series was shortened to 25 episodes.
