Rosa, a fifty-five year old single woman, and Sabina, a Cuban girl of 25, are neighbors and share a rooftop terrace in the city. Two uprooted women. They haven't met but they share a lot in common, both having left their home and past behind.

Carmen, a well-known writer on her fifties, has returned a year ago to a farmhouse in the small town where she was born, in Bajo Aragón (Teruel, Spain). Her vital crisis is complicated when Eduardo, a film producer with whom she had a love affair twenty years ago reappears in her life.

Six teenagers decide to spend the night at an old abandoned school where 27 years ago a horrible massacre occurred. The kids run afoul of the vicious crazed security guard who committed the brutal killings.

A month before he's to marry Carmen, Antonio finds a photograph of a man with his arm on her shoulder. The photograph triggers jealousy: he questions Carmen, Carman's friend Cinta, and his friend Luis who introduced him to Carmen. Cinta tells Antonio the man's first name. Carmen tells him that the man meant nothing to her, and that the photograph was taken before she met Antonio. She loves Antonio and sets out to wipe the photograph from his mind through exuberant sex, but her ploy backfires and Antonio remains fixated. Slowly he finds out about the man, and about Carmen's past. Will jealousy consume this couple or can they find a way to kill the green-eyed monster?
