Explores the tragic death of Angel Rama, Marta Traba, Manuel Scorza and Jorge Ibargüengoitia on an airplane crash near Madrid in 1983. Through the biographies of these four authors –each one from a different part of Latin America- the film explores this continent´s history in the second half of the 20th century, full of social unrest, revolutions and dictatorships that influenced a whole generation.

Elena is a frustrated woman living a monotonous life. She meets Ramiro, a painter who was once famous and acclaimed, but now lives only on memories and attempts to reinvent himself. Elena is seduced by Ramiro's stale rhetoric and enters a dreamlike world where everything changes. Infected by Ramiro's bohemian lifestyle, she surrenders to a spiral of lovers driven by jealousy and possessiveness. Her certainties gradually begin to blur.

During the 1920's, Augusto San Miguel (1905-1937) directed, produced and starred in the first feature films made in Ecuador. Unfortunately, San Miguel's films -like many episodes of his life- disappeared in time. The only remains are the movie ads on old newspapers and a mysterious legend, by which San Miguel was buried with his films.
