Nathan is a very gifted Mexican scientist specializing in cellular biology. He is a very withdrawn man, good, solitary and helpful, who has a secret passion for Maya, one of his colleagues at work. But soon their lives are shaken by an encounter with Jacques, a man with supernatural powers.

Paulinita is a little rich girl who seemingly has everything, but lacks the love of her parents: Julio is too busy with his million-dollar deals to look after her, while Regina spends her time at social events and fashion shows. One fine day, Julio´s brother Manuel comes to visit them from Spain. He has just obtained a Master´s degree in child pedagogy. Paulinita quickly warms to him, as he has time to play with her, but Manuel has a dark past.

An ordinary day's hike gets rough when two youngsters escape from the main group into the woods and, after finding a grotto, discover that there is more to it than just darkness.

A love story turned assassination against the backdrop of the 1968 student massacre whose unresolved status is finally resolved in tense life threatening conditions. The story of a stubborn journalist who undertakes the clarification and bringing to justice of the heinous murder of one student forty years later represents a dedicated effort to force a country from denial to reconciliation and closure of tragic social and political events in a country´s history. A nation cannot allow official cover-ups that seek to delete and erase from the collective memory events that prevent a nation´s march towards social justice.
