A man is forced to confront his past after he loses everything in an accident. Mustafa is a successful business man living a seemingly great life with his family when an accident takes it all away from him and leaves him with many questions and a cab driver, Fikret, who can answer it all. Mustafa is due to get a lot more than what he bargained for, however, as his interrogations take him to long-forgotten childhood memories and force him to see his formerly perfect life from a very different perspective.

A woman... A man... Two people on the brink of death... Perhaps two people who would never meet, or even if they did, would pass each other by like ships in the fog, never seeing each other... Two separate worlds... Two separate histories... But now 'yesterday' is behind them, and they have met in death. And at the point where death's rules, words, and obstacles have been erased, they have set out to discover life. They shared fear, friendship, anger, and love. Who knows, perhaps even love... Nesibe lives with her poor family in a slum in Istanbul. Her father, who can't hold down a job, often takes out his anger on his family. Knowing that this is not all there is to life, Nesibe finds solace in movies.

The urban intellectual man is so overwhelmed that he has isolated himself. The young woman, bored in the countryside, is trying to escape to a different and bigger world. One person's place of escape is the other's place of longing. In this film, which encourages us to keep the world livable, director Olgaç says that friendship between people can only exist through love.

In a typical western Anatolian town with two-story wooden houses, a square, and narrow streets, Liberation Day is approaching. A group of locals has formed a choir and begun preparations for a classical music concert for Liberation Day. The choir is nearing the end of its rehearsals. Although the choir is not entirely harmonious, they have managed to achieve a certain unity and are now in their final rehearsals before Independence Day. They are all working together on Sadettin Kaynak's piece titled "Spring Is Over, Autumn Is Over." Everyone is filled with excitement for the upcoming concert. When the town wakes up the next day, everything seems to be the same as before, until two large black jeeps appear at the town limits and stop in front of the town hall. From the moment the three or four Chinese men who emerge from the jeeps, accompanied by a Turkish businessman, head toward the town hall steps, nothing in the town will ever be the same again.

Two desperate brothers go illegally to cut down trees in a difficult area.

In the film, the struggle between the villagers and a cry is told. Villagers are in a difficult situation due to the drought in the region. Semsettin Aga and Behram Aga, the owners of the surrounding villages, keep the villagers entertained. The villagers then decide to invade the fields. Meanwhile, Mustafa was thrown in prison by shooting Behram Aga.

Asmalı Konak was a Turkish TV series directed by Çağan Irmak and written by Mahinur Ergun and Meral Okay. It was shown on ATV for a total of 54 episodes. The finale of the series was released as a feature film titled Asmalı Konak: Hayat.
