Kanagal Prabhakar Shastry

Sathi Shakthi is a 1963 Indian Kannada-language film directed and produced by Kanagal Prabhakar Shastry. The film stars Rajkumar, Ramkumar, K. S. Ashwath and B. Raghavendra Rao. The film has musical score by T. G. Lingappa. Puttanna Kanagal assisted his brother during the shoot of this movie. This was the first movie in which Rajkumar played a dual role in full-fledged manner

Based on the novel of same name by Bharathi Suta which was an adaptation of the English novel Lady Chatterley's Lover by D. H. Lawrence. Madhavi leads an unfulfilled married life with her husband, a former soldier. She ends up getting into a physical relationship with their friendly neighbour, a younger man.

The movie explores the nuance of Oedipus Complex. The heroine, a popular theatre artist, falls in love with a rich, young man. They eventually get married and beget a child. But the heroine is bored of married life and wants to dabble in acting. The husband refuses and leaves the town with his child. The heroine gets a lucky break in cinema and becomes a household name. Years later, as fate had it, a young man falls in love with the heroine and she reciprocates his love, but as a mother. She always gives him affection and loves like a mother. She encounters her ex-husband and pleads him to show her son just for once. But as fate has it doesn t happen, and she goes in deep depression and commits suicide, too late for the young lover who realizes that he had fallen in love with his own mother.

Dudde Doddappa is a 1966 Indian Kannada-language film, directed and produced by B. R. Panthulu. The film stars B. R. Panthulu, M. V. Rajamma, Ramesh and Narasimharaju. It was remade in Tamil as Namma Veettu Lakshmi (1966) and in Telugu as Lakshmi Nivasam (1968).

It stars Rajkumar as Krishnadevaraya, an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 16th century. R. Nagendra Rao, B. R. Panthulu, Narasimharaju and N. Bharathi appear in pivotal roles.

The story revolves around the dangers of superstition, particularly when it concerns marriage and how unscrupulous elements in society could manipulate these beliefs to their benefit and lead to tragic consequences.
