Poland, 1930s. Agata, a twenty-year-old young woman, a niece of the lady of a small manor, is about to get married. This fact causes dramatic changes for three people: Miss Stawro, a music teacher who cares for Agata, and two sixteen-year-old boys, Witek and Stas, who have their own feelings for the girl. However, the closer the wedding date gets, the more the bride-to-be is haunted by morbidly surreal visions related to her troubled past.

Set in 1989, story of a man beat up by two ex-policemen and left to die in a dump. Marek survives after the brain surgery that leaves him amnesiac. He wanders through the city, sought by his assilant, who fear he will testify against them. Marek finds shelter with a girlfriend/bagwoman who supposedly was once queen of Paris boulevards. Marek regains his memory just as the villains are to get him. He eventually returns to his house only to find out that his mother died and his brother left for Australia.

Using ruthless methods, the man starts forcing more families to move out. Janina Markowska is the most determined in her fight for the right to her apartment. When Janina disappears in mysterious circumstances, the police start investigating.

A young boy, Jedrek, arrives in the big city. He doesn't know anyone here. He finds a job as a poster maker. He is taken care of by the Old Man, who is possessed by the idea of being able to detach a person from the earth by means of psychic energy. He teaches the boy the "blind man's game," which involves throwing dice with his eyes closed. Jedrek is slowly drawn into Old's world. He agrees to take part in the experiment - he is to be lifted by the energy of the people gathered. The experiment is interrupted by a landslide of the wall, but Jedrek stops stuttering and gains self-confidence. The boy falls in love with Eve and takes care of Stary. The latter offers him to jump from a great height and gently bring him down using psychic energy. When Jedrek refuses, the Old One decides to make the risky jump himself. Jedrek fails to stop him. With the word "Dad," he bids farewell to the Old One, lying on the pavement.

Kryminalni

Kryminalni was a Polish crime drama television series that aired on TVN network from September 18, 2004 until May 24, 2008. It ran for 8 seasons and 101 episodes were broadcast in total. It was created by Polish director and screenwriter Piotr Wereśniak and produced by MTL Maxfilm studio. The series followed life and work of police officers from the elite Criminal Terror and Murders Division of the Warsaw Metropolitan Police; the title refers to police officers in the crime section. The three main characters were Adam Zawada, an experienced, tough cup, his younger colleague Marek Brodecki and Barbara Storosz, an ambitious female officer who in the first season joins the team just after graduating. Although none of the main actors had had star status before the series debuted, all three of them rose to prominence and popularity during the 5-year-long run. Many of Poland's best known actors guest starred, usually playing roles of people involved in just one particular investigation. The serial was one of the most popular in Poland: each week it had an audience of 4 million.
