When a bad review from an Estonian critic threatens to ruin the family business, Artur has to go to Tallinn to set things straight. The story follows the lives in a small village of a picturesque Armenian gorge where secrets, tragedies and love are intricately weaved to form a beautiful impressionist painting of life. And as often in life, the drama is tainted with humor and compassion. This life in rural parts is hard and the villagers survive by trading at the market, cultivating the land when possible and relying on each other. Zulali, a young mentally ill woman, Nazaros, 10 year old boy, too smart for his age, and Aqir, an elderly woman who was cast away from her own family for being barren, form an unlikely family. As each one of them narrates their perception in turn, the deeply hidden secrets and terrible tragedies that tie them together are gradually revealed to unveil the complex mosaic of their fate.

Armenian priest Komitas, who achieves European fame as a singer and songwriter, concomitantly suffers the disasters of the early 20th century: war and genocide which drive him insane.

Kirill Ivanovich Shchelkin is not well-known among the most honored scientists of the Soviet Union. Alik, 25, has been raised by his grandfather, conductor of a renowned classical orchestra in post-Soviet Armenia where cultural institutions are failing and oligarchs allied with the mafia hold power. Alik, a clarinetist, is the virtuoso in this orchestra whose existence is seriously threatened when its key sponsor is murdered. One night, Alik comes into possession of a hired killer's mysterious telephone, which is used only to commission hits. Manipulated by a crook's daughter with whom he falls hopelessly in love and wishing to save the orchestra at all costs, Alik decides to take on the identity of the killer known as "The Virtuoso" and attempt to carry out his contracts. But Alik is a virtuoso musician, not a killer.

The once friendly and loving Gureev family finds itself on the verge of divorce. Spouses Olga and Sergey have moved away from each other, and children Anton and Nastya worry about their parents. Sergey, a fashion photographer, receives an assignment to fly to an exhibition. He is trying to cancel the business trip because it is Nastya's birthday. Olga, once again disappointed in her husband's actions, is ready to file for divorce... But eight-year-old Nastya, their daughter, buys a trip to Armenia for the whole family with the donated money. Fun adventures await the Gureev family, including an immersion in the flavor of a local wedding, which is celebrated for just 7 days and 7 nights. They will also pass their own tests, which will help them understand what is most valuable and important in this life.
