Three stories that moved a country

El cimarrón is a love story about a young African couple, Marcos and Carolina, that takes place in the slavery era at the turn of the nineteen-century in a Caribbean island. After several futile escape plans, Marcos finally escaped. Now free, he returns to liberate his beloved Carolina.

Reflecting the closeness of Puerto Ricans in New York with those on the island, three stories among couples are combined to cast emotions of passion, jealousy, doubt and infidelity. The couples are burned by sudden and unexpected feelings and are pushed to make the decision that will change their lives forever influenced by the events of September 11th.

Dueña y Señora is a Puerto Rican telenovela based on La Dueña. It is produced by Telemundo Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Vibra Inc., which intends to market it to the United States' Spanish-speaking residents as well.
