The story revolves around a mystical indigenous goblin called "Kuttichathan" who is under the spell of an evil sorcerer; however, it gets released by three children and then befriends them.

Appu is very close with his elder sister, Malu. When she gets married to Govindan, she takes Appu along with them. But problems arise when Appu becomes jealous of Govindan.
