Masato is a young ramen chef in Japan. When he finds his late mother's journal after the sudden death of his emotionally distant father, he takes it with him to her native country, Singapore, hoping to piece together the story of his family and his life.

Thirteen years after abandoning his wife and two sons by stepping out for a pack of cigarettes and never returning, deadbeat gambler Masato dies of stomach cancer. At his funeral, a motley crew of fellow mahjong players, pachinko parlor employees and former drinking buddies gather to pay their respects and tell stories, revealing aspects of Masato’s life that complicate his sons’ resentment towards him.

In memory of the Japanese earthquake on 3.11, each director presents a 3 minute and 11 second short film in tribute to those who were lost that day.

This film focuses on the "Out in Japan" project in which over 1,000 portraits of Japanese LGBT+ individuals were taken by photographer Leslie Kee and exhibited around the country. Many of the subjects share their stories and come out for the first time in hopes of normalizing the community and adding awareness to closeted Japanese through this project.

Nami Suzuki is an ordinary girl with no particular dream and only wants a moderate amount of work and love. She decides to go to Tokyo to chase after her crush, Kenya. However, instead of working at the equipment management department where Kenya belongs, Nami has been assigned to the magazine editorial department and meets Reiko Hōrai, the youngest editor-in-chief, who is very smart but has a poisonous tongue. Nami becomes stressed as she constantly gets criticized by Reiko for her poor working performance. At the same time, Nami meets cameraman Junnosuke, a son from a rich family who made a surprising proposal to Nami. Nami,mwho used to want a moderate amount of work and love, is now running at full speed towards both.

Two charismatic people from completely different fields who usually have no contact with each other meet, and with the intention of what kind of chemical reaction "switch" will enter, "masters" who are active on the front line will meet each other. In addition to the chemical reactions of the two charisma that can not be seen in a simple dialogue, they visit each other's work sites and explore common methodologies and hints for success, as well as the "face" of both the speaker and the listener.
