George Fahmy, Egypt's most adored actor, is pressured to star in a film commissioned by the highest authorities. He reluctantly accepts and finds himself thrown into the inner circle of power. Like moth drawn to flame, he begins an affair with the mysterious wife of the general overseeing the project.

The director turns the diary of his sexual adventures into a serial narrative in the style of “One Thousand and One Nights”. This polyamorously-minded queer musical applies the same playful approach to folk tales as it does to Egyptian pop music.

Set in Alexandria on the Mediterranean, the film tells the story of three people who meet by chance in the corridors of a hospital, each of whom has experienced the dangers of the blue sea. Mokhtar, a painter suffering from schizophrenia, contemplates the color of death, while Salim, a diver fascinated by the sea, dies in a hospital bed. Meanwhile, Dalia, a nurse, recalls her father's drowning.
